1. Basic principle of expansion screw
Expansion bolts are a type of fastener consisting of a head and a screw (a cylindrical body with external threads), which need to be matched with a nut to fasten and connect two parts with through holes. This connection form is called bolt connection. If the nut is unscrewed from the bolt, the two parts can be separated, so bolt connection is a detachable connection. Its structure is also very simple, consisting of two parts: screws and expansion tubes. The working principle is not complicated, just drive them into the wall together, then lock the nut. When the nut is locked inward, the screw will pull outward, thereby expanding the iron expansion tube and clamping it into the wall, providing a firm fixing effect.
2. Classification of expansion screws
According to the material, there are two types of expansion bolts: plastic expansion and stainless steel expansion.
Plastic expansion
Plastic expansion is equivalent to a substitute for traditional wooden wedges.
Metal expansion bolt
The use of metal expansion bolts should be selected according to the actual situation of the wall. There are generally the following specifications: 6 * 60, 6 * 80, 6 * 120, 6 * 150.
According to their appearance, stainless steel expansion can be divided into external expansion, hexagonal expansion, expansion hook, and ring expansion.
3.Advantages of expansion screws
Powerful fixing force: Due to the special design of the expansion screw, it can generate a strong expansion force when tightened, tightly grasping the wall and providing extremely high fixing force.
Strong adaptability: Expansion screws can adapt to various wall materials, whether it is brick walls, gypsum board walls, or concrete walls, and can play a good fixing effect.
Easy Installation: Compared to regular screws, the installation process of expansion screws is relatively simple and does not require special tools or skills.
High safety: Due to the deep fixation of expansion screws in the wall, using expansion screws for fixation is safer than using ordinary screws.
